The 2026 Apostolic Invasion, themed Overflowing, continued today with a session that ran from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Headquarters Auditorium, Oke-Maro, Amoyo, as Evangelist Sunday Oguche took the podium to minister on “Holy Man.” As with every session of this year’s convention, the hall filled up with members, families and visitors from across Ilorin, all gathered for a word that many left describing as one of the strongest of the week so far.
Holiness as the Standard
From the opening minutes, Evangelist Oguche made his central point unmistakable: a life set apart in character is not optional for the believer; it is the standard. He walked the congregation through what true holiness looks like in everyday life, not a distant ideal reserved for the exceptional few, but a daily pursuit expected of every man and woman who names the name of Christ. He was direct, at times confrontational in the best sense, challenging believers to examine the gap between the standard they preach and the standard they actually live.
It was not a message that allowed for passive listening. Notebooks were open across the hall, and more than a few members were seen underlining points as he spoke.
A Congregation Fully Engaged
For two full hours, the room stayed locked in. Worship punctuated the message at key moments, with the congregation rising to respond to points that struck deep, a sign that the word was not simply being heard, but received. By the time the session closed, it was clear the message had done exactly what strong preaching is meant to do: unsettle complacency and point the way forward.
Building Toward the Rest of the Convention
Today’s session adds another strong layer to a convention that has already delivered a full house on opening night and consistent turnout through the week. With the revival still running nightly and the Festival of Praise and Thanksgiving Service ahead, Evangelist Oguche’s message on holiness has set a high bar for the sessions still to come.
