Vision & Mission

Our Vision

To be a parish where the mercy of God transforms lives, heals communities, and raises a generation of faithful disciples for the Kingdom of God.

Our Mission

To bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every person in Tanke, Ilorin, and beyond through Spirit-filled worship, fervent prayer, sound biblical teaching, and practical acts of mercy and compassion.

Our Core Values

  • Mercy: We extend the grace of God to every person who comes to us, regardless of their past or present condition. No one is too far gone for the mercy of God.
  • Prayer: We are a house of prayer. Intercession is not a programme — it is the heartbeat of everything we do. We believe in the power of prayer to change lives, circumstances, and nations.
  • The Word of God: Sound, Spirit-breathed, Bible-based teaching is the foundation of our ministry. We preach the whole counsel of God without apology or compromise.
  • Community: We build family. Every member of Mercy Seat Parish is known, valued, cared for, and prayed for. No one should feel alone in this house.
  • Discipleship: We are committed to raising mature believers — men and women who know God's Word, walk in the Spirit, and go on to impact their own spheres of influence.
  • Healing: We believe that God still heals today — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We create space for that healing to happen in every service we hold.
  • Generosity: We are a giving people. We give our time, our resources, and our love freely because we have received freely from God.

Our Mandate

We draw our mandate from the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."

This is not optional for us. It is the reason we exist as a parish.
